Toilet to holding tank hose

Just a thought…..wouldn’t it be nice if when you need a tool on your boat if a drone could fly it in from your workshop
Hey Bouba,

I’ve just heard of a few others who’ve tackled this.. they say there is only one set of 12v wires cable tied to the pipe for the toilet pipe… there may be one cable clip a little further in that needs cutting to free the pipe but it’s reachable. They also recommend clamping the new pipe to the old pipe via a wooden dowel insert so you can use the old pipe to pull through the new pipe that should be at least 3.8 to 4m long… sorry if this may be too late for where you are now, but a plan B if you get stuck…

Cheers

I am working on it now….my plan is still to entomb it…if it miraculously slides out….then I will remove it.
I don’t want to completely dismantle the bathroom nor cut holes….however my gut feeling is that sooner or later there will be a bathroom repair that requires this…and then I can dispose of the hose
Don't be frightened to cut a hole.
Think "out of the box"
A hole can be made into an inspection hatch or maybe a cupboard.
Maybe look for something that can be set into/onto the surface - something that looks like it should be there.

For example, I wanted to route wires for cameras to the outside of the flybridge overhang.
This was when the boat was new so I was reluctant to cut any holes.
I went to the factory to see the run from boats that were still in production.
One of the guys on the line said - "just cut a hole here".
He then gave me a small grille to cover the hole saying that it would provide good ventilation.

Another example, a friend wanted to gain access to the helm controls on his catamaran.
He bought a read-made locker from a chandler and fitted that - thus giving him loads of access.

Where there's a will - there's a way.

The inside of the hose is horrific.....not just the inner walls made of stone....but the furring up of the remaining lumen....amazed that it worked at all. Please people, never mind your toilet hose...this is what your arteries look like....please get them checked

Maybe not the arteries, but kidney stones are basically the same thing, and one of the most painful experiences I've ever had - I would have gladly let you cut my tubes and seal them.

And you would rather that I leave them in situ.....rather than cut open a flap and remove them ?

Job finished !
What a pig of a job 😡🤬
When you people recommended butyl hose….you were absolutely right !
Unfortunately…,I had two meters of the cheap white stuff in my workshop….so I used it….sorry…but you would have done the same !
By the way….two meters is exactly enough….one millimetre less and I would have been in trouble….phew

Just out of interest
Nobody noticed in these pictures that I published earlier anything unusual

If anyone wants to know or can guess…feel free
