I was reading another thread....where someone was trying to get to the rear of the calorifier .....and I thought, if I had to get to the back of mine...it would be engine and fuel tank out

We had notification yesterday that the ministry for infrastructure and water management have dropped the requirement to have the outflow from the heads closed and locked off, it was due to come in to force on 1 Jan 2026 and those of us with older boats were having to look for black water holding tanks, now we have a bit more time to find a solution.

Update ;
I ordered the filter from the chandler….each week they didn’t have it and said next week…I didn’t mind as I was travelling a lot this month…but still not got it when I returned and the weather is getting hotter.
I knew there was only one solution…I ordered another one online…sure enough the next day the chandler phoned to say they had it. Good, I will have a spare…and I will have it long enough to forget I have it next time I need it.
Fitted it today….couldn’t reach anything from the hatch…had to do it all from inside the boat…so hot
True story…I never checked my Euromillions ticket…because I knew that if I won the jackpot last night…I wouldn’t install the filter today
