Sorry I missed you, an opportunity lost to dispense hospitality and bonhomie through gritted teeth.
spotted the ECF burgee fluttering on a Malo in Dover
We have an ECF burgee??![]()
That is cryptic enough to be in the Lounge....
Perhaps we need our own?
+ 1 for having an East Coast Burgee!! :encouragement:
Dover is in my experience rather lacking in on shore facilities,
Perhaps we need our own?
Something easily recognisable - simple design and easily made: I would suggest brown with a couple of blue dots.
Sums up the East Coast perfectly - shallow puddles surrounded by mud.![]()
Did you miss the red-fronted cafe a few yards up the main road (run by a couple of Eastern European women, it seemed) serving a very palatable full English breakfast from 6am-3pm, and a great little chandlery a few doors beyond?
Personally, I am happy with the very quirky YBW burgee...
But, the Roach sailing association has a brown lower, a greyish blue upper, with a pitch tar coated black shed in the middle( the storage shed at Paglesham) It is the epitome of East Coast burgees.
In other less populated forums, there is a Bluemoment one which is well made and a good design.

But I still say keep the one we have.
