Batten end fitting / shackle / WTF is this thing I need to source?

I've lost one! ,, the pin is about 6mm dia and passes through the rod end of the sail batten. The two 'shackle' pieces surround the sail mast slide. I forgot to look at boom / mast manufacturer when at the boat but she is a 1997 USA built Hunter Legend.

AI has had several stabs at it for me with no success and I cannot see it where I've looked.

Any decent chandlery would have one in their stock. Make sure you have the dimensions when viewing. Take a sample with you to check.

Have you tried Selden website ? Personally I would remove one of the other pins and take it a local rigger who might be more equipped than any chandlery to help. Buy a few maybe when there?

Could always use a bolt with a nyloc nut as a temporary repair or even permanent.

I dismounted a 21ft vertical HF antenna from the pushpit recently and rested it on the cockpit tent.

Whilst doing other tasks in the saloon I heard... Clunk.. Splash.. and realised that the antenna had also ended up at the bottom of the marina. Oops.

I went back to the boat a week later and the whole antenna was on the side deck..

We have magic in our marina. I still have no idea how!
