Hello.
We’ve just sailed our Hallberg-Rassy 34 from Gosport to Gibraltar on our way to the Med. We are tired. And having kept up quite a pace until now, are longing for a sleepy-little-fishing-village where we can rest for 5 days or so. Somewhere characterful, with a good beach nearby, and without loud music. One good cafe/taverna would suffice. Not sure if this sort of place actually exists within 150nm east of Gib; but however far, we’d love to hear anecdotes and advice. Many thanks!

Hiya. It's summer! All of the costa marinas will be busy. Nearest is Sotogrande which will be the quietest as prices ashore can be a bit steep. Beaches either side. Probably your best option!

Probably you will find nice marina in Almerimar. As someone has said before, summer season is crazy everywhere! I live in Murcia, there is a nice marina in Cartagena and not too busy as that city has no many beaches and people use to go out in summer. Good luck!

Should've taken a summer break in the Galician Rias (altas). Or gone up the Rio Guadiana.

Mar Menor perhaps? Never been in summer, probably too hot, full of jellyfish and old brits with motorboats! :)
I live in Santiago de la Ribera! One of the oldest towns around mar menor. Its not bad so there are so many jellyfish as years ago. Calm sea with many places where anchor.

I think we had your boat before you and were bereft to lose her due to our old age and decrepitude. So pleased you are off on grand adventures and hope she is behaving herself. Can't help with Gibraltar - we had the Levant for 10 days which drove everyone to Shephard's Wharf and prevented us going further. Bon Voyage! (Tears)
