Tiny bumps in Northane Gloss 2 Pack

Hi

I sprayed Northane Gloss yesterday and when wet was smooth but when checking today has lots of small bumps in the surface. More in some places than others.

Any idea what's gone on here?

Looks like it may have been a slightly contaminated surface. If you cleaned the surface with a thinner or something that is not quite compatible with the paint used it can cause that effect. Either that or the surface was not sufficiently cleaned and something was on there that was not quite compatible. I have had that effect with varnish when I used the wrong surface prep.

Certainly looks like contamination of some sort. Did you spray in a clean enclosure?

Silicon contamination, fish eye.?

Could it be water contamination from high humidity when sprayed. Was the air intake for the compressed using a drier in line. The other possibility is solvent evaporation from any thinners in the paint because the surface was drying too quickly and trapping solvent

Painted too thick and too quickly.

Went on excellent with 2 light coats with 45 minutes in between
