Tides for OpenCPN.

Hi,
does anyone know if there is free tidal stream data for OpenCPN chartplotter software?

Thanks
Mark

The Linux version reads xtide's harmonic files.

There's a WXtide32 for windows that uses the same harmonic files. May need to copy the files into somewhere in the OpenCPN directory.

The tidal streams (as in currents?) are usually part of the maps. I don't get too many on CMAP though.

That's exactly how it transpired. Xtides has got some UK tidal info, which is updated and accurate. Wxtides hasn't been updated for ages and the veracity of data is doubtful. There's a method (in itself questionable) for adding the wxtides data to opencpn here: http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/f134/wxtides-stations-lots-in-opencpn-35083.html
