Tide Plotter, feeling ripped off

This is all very interesting advice on which FREE app I should have downloaded, but I chose to continue my trust with a well known tide predictor who it appears has sold me a pup. As can be ascertained, I am not afraid to pay for the right software, why this has turned into a stampede to inform which free apps each of you use, which I have taken note of, it doesn't help me as I have paid out for something and don't wish to pay again, be it cash or the inconvenience of adverts or nag screens. I want Keith to put this right.

Let me see if I got this right: you do not appreciate input from other forumites and you just want Keith to put it right.
If this indeed the case and assuming Keith is not a forumite - why the **** did you bother posting this on here?

I wasn't suggesting that you use a free app. However you had said:

Does this require regular data on the phone as I have it turned off at my provider as I am odd and tend to use my telephone as a telephone with a monthly bill under £2.00. I don't wish to change this just to get tide times.

So I was pointing out that Tidal apps. shouldn't need to connect to make predictions whichever one you decide to use (free, paid, Bellfield). I didn't want you to labour under the impression that this was something that these Phone apps. needed to do in order to operate.

I can see why you are miffed as the page clearly says "We have added a Pocket PC version and the latest innovation is a version for the mobile phones, Smart Phone.". It also shows prices for 2013 and is marked "© 2013 Belfield Software", so can't say that it hasn't been updated for a while.

It is always a good idea to ask which smart phones an app. runs on (iOS, Android, Windows Mobile etc.). It sounds as if Bellfield only ever had a version for Windows Mobile smart phones. I think that you said they didn't even have that now.

You may be right about it being a windows smart phone, I don't know, it's not clear. I do appreciate the advice posted, no really I do, but it was beginning to feel like Cornish road directions.... 'You doan wanna be startin from 'ere'

I can download all the data I wish at home if I turn wifi on, or in cafes etc. I just stopped all data via sim as every app seems to rack up data constantly in the background. I mostly use the phone as a telephone and not a bad camera (samsung ace).

From this thread I have learnt that Keith has removed smart phone apps from 2013 but forgot to tell anyone. I like Bellfield and am disappointed, I would have purchased differently if he had been upfront. I posted to warn others who might be considering the tide plotter and like me not realise the website is a place of fantasy. He had a chance to make good but brushed me off with a single e-mail. He shouldn't have done that.
