Is there anyone/anywhere that does plotter-like visuals..so you can look up a date and see the flows during the day?
Yes, could do it on the plotter, but I dont keep the boat in my house...

Yes, I have Map tech marine charts on my laptop.

The tidal diamonds go 'live' when you mouse them. Arrows show direction and arrow tail shows strength.

Still awaiting for the 2009 tide update however. This used to be a disc but understand this year its a download on the web.

Its very useful when anchored say in Newtown Ck.

to clarify, I meant the flows, not height.
So, you could look up Portland ,say, 10 april, and have a visual as the tidal flow changes during the day.
Even better, does anyone do forecasts with wind and tidal flows on a chart? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Was just thinking, there are on-line wind predictions on maps that you can scroll through during the next 5 days say.. has anyone combined that with the known tidal flows.
If not.. why not !!

I didn't think you moboists worried about tides but you could try Tidal Flow - resolution ain't too good though.

We can be right down to 20 knots in a force 6 due to sea state.

If we can time a F6 to be with the waves for a more sedate sea state (even if we have to punch the tide) ,we are back up to a reasonable cruise speed /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Good link, thank you /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
