Throttle stiff

Hi one of my throttle controls is stiff, is this just from no lubrication or needs cable replaced?
Sorry if stupid question but not sure about these controls and how to maintain.

I think once it's stiff, it's had it and you go for a replacement...
Is it single or twin control? if twin are they both stiff or just one?

Its twin engine so dual control, only one is stiff but not too stiff, just not as smooth as the other.

I would agree with VAS, just bite the bullet and replace it with new, you don't want it to get stuck when berthing in close quarters....!

although sometimes that's easier said than done... May have to rip half the upholstery apart to route it through...
Best if you unhook the cables on the engine end and see how smooth the controls are. Then you decide.
