I saw that too. My boat is just out of shot to the right. The J109 with his sails up was in front of us.Taken this afternoon , 2nd attempt to land on the deck
We used to sail in all weather when I was in the mob. Even on minesweepers. I can't recall sailing getting delayed because of bad weather,if we did, maybe I have erased it from my memory, or I was tankersLets hope war doesn't break out on a windy day then.
They are punching into a good gale now in the western approaches. It's getting in and out of harbour that's the snag. Plus original plan was to victual at anchor off Gilkicker somewhere, that would have been dodgy in the last gale.We used to sail in all weather when I was in the mob. Even on minesweepers. Or a weekend
I really can't see them coming at all. Waiting on the Chinese thoughI was always told that the Russians would come on a Wednesday afternoon, as that's when all the NATO/Western European troops were on 'sports afternoon' and busy playing football and the like.
I can't remember delaying for weather either. That said when I did 4 months on fish I think we might have taken a sheltered anchorage to avoid a gale.We used to sail in all weather when I was in the mob. Even on minesweepers. Why is that? Do you know something they don't know? ?
Surface ships plus aircraft plus a submarine.‘Ring of steel’ by surface ships...useless.
The submarine that attempts to sink them will be sunk by their own submarine first......?They will only know about the submarine that sinks them when it’s too late..

How many aircraft did she carry ?Given the Mary Rose sank on a windy day, not much has changed...
Well we were on the Portsmouth to Wootton Creek ferry on Friday when it should have come out - lovely weather for a ferry although not every passenger thought so. Staying this week in a house I used to live in east of Ryde so great view of the lights and blanking of Portsmouth then a fort as she came out after we had a good pub dinner. They are punching into a good gale now in the western approaches.
