This is a great brokerage listing

Leggy on the engines .
Agreed great composition of the web page and I like the bigging up of the “ dual “ use ......marketing guys don’t you just love em .
As for ultimate Med use lazing about with the sea there are better designs in terms of outside space , sitting areas , dining , sunbathing , tender storage , entertaining guests etc etc .
Brokers is earning his % here.

As an Australian I do like to see the popularity of Riviera in the Med and wider. However, I posted the link purely as an example of a brokerage who is clearly going above and beyond on the listing with effort and detail.

Great to see, all brokers should be similar to earn the money they charge, the commission on our house sale in sof was 10x the U.K. Cost and they did nothing to promote the house.

I suspect thats because the broker knows that a marque like Riviera is going to be a hard sell in the Med and he's going to have to make a special effort to sell her. Nothing against Riviera yachts because I know they have a good reputation in Australia but they arent well known in Europe although I think they have a dealer in SoF now. It is an excellent bit of advertising; if only every broker was as conscientious

Mike, I agree in part. I think the brand has a growing loyalty and is getting better known. I have actually been surprised how many I have seen on the Côte d’Azur.

Returning to the listing - I’m impressed with how much effort has been put in. If I was the vendor I would be very happy and felt that my 10% plus TVA brokerage fee was actually going somewhere.

Agreed. I have seen one or two about too in the Med. Also there are a few examples of the other well known Australian brand, Maritimo, about in the Med too. Actually, I've been on board both Riviera and Maritimo boats at boat shows and I liked what I saw. There was a sort of functional design and build quality about them and if you believe the hype about being built for the sea conditions off Australia, the hulls seem to be sturdy too. I hope the broker sells this Riviera; he certainly deserves to

Graham,

the flybridge is airconditioned and heated.
Yeh Mozzi prob solved in the hone mkt .

Any how nice folks to deal with , we seriously looked at a R 42 .It came with either CATs or Volvo D9 s .Open plan down below with a movable panel to enclose a fwd sleeping space .
viewed a coupe at there Cogolin Yard up the river .
Interestingly Marc ( irrc his name ? ) told me to avoid the VP version .
The deadrise is not fantastic but the rest looked fine , deep for front and a nice Carolina bow flair .
Only thing is they cruised at low twenties say 22/24 knots and reading around the subject that’s fine for short sharp chop often found off Australia’s coast .

Unfortunately for the Villanova bros , just 1 mile away is a huge hanger used by rival Suncap which was stuffed with 3 Pershings , 4 Itama , a Magnum , some Harleys and couple of helicopters .
So as Deleted User infers it’s difficult to sell them in the Med ........when it’s easy to do a back to back comparison.

Interesting to see one in the Med and definitely looks well looked after. I have an enclosed flybridge version back in Australia. Practical layout and works well for us with young kids.

Riviera actually built 290 of this model over 9 years so fairly popular. Most were the open flybridge version like in the listing.

A nice boat - with my fave engines... C12s, love em. Agree re the effort the broker has made on that add, it rather puts some of the U.K. outfits to shame I think.
