However, my wife was annoyed with me for buying the wrong boat. After she agreed to it of course. All very simply solved by buying another boat. What’s not to like?

My wife walked aboard and said, "we're buying this". I suggested maybe a survey? check the sails etc? Eventually she capitulated and after she let me check everything, we bought the boat.

( full disclosure, it was the boat I wanted, so win-win )

That’s my strategy too. She approves of this, generally, as it saves her a great deal of time and effort.

Sadly then, for you lot, it was the XOD she fell out of love with, and chose the Dragonfly. Sailing an X is a lot like being on the deep soiling cycle in a washing machine, especially for the crew. And when you have as many artificial joints as her, that’s not a good thing.
