oldgit;6086883 Has anyone mentioned the chine riding 42 yet. :)[/QUOTE said:It was supposed to have been fixed by changes to the hull on the S42? We had an S41, one of the finest boats of it's size for interior accommodation. It didn't chine ride as such, but in any kind of seaway, I have driven rally cars through forests with less effort (you'd know all about that Volvopaul!). It was very hard work trying to keep it in a straight line, and occasionally would scare the,sh1t out of SWMBO when it,would suddenly and viciously turn sharp left or right when dropping off a larger wave. Such a shame, because otherwise, I would have another in a heartbeat. The S43 with shafts and heavy TAMD74's never had the problem, and as I say, the modified hull on the 42 was supposed to have fixed it.
