"Good quality," as applicable to stranded wire (not solid or ferrules), means there must be a pressure plate, such that the screw does not bear dirrectly on the wire. This prevents strand mage. (ABYC requirement.)I've used 'Bootlace Ferrules' successfully in conjunction with good - quality screw terminal blocks.

WHo are JST?Being in RC .. you get to know about fine wire connections !! You say Crimp is not possible ? Maybe - but if you have the gear for RC ... then I suggest JST have various connectors male and female based in various crimp pin sizes.
Just saying ...

It is a sealed LED light so the wires will have to be joined somewhere.can you replace the wire on the item so its longer and accessible outide the item ?
Amazon have them and the crimp tools. Personally I prefer something more like this for inline connections but JST worksOk, thats great
Where do you get them?
Would you have room to put both wires into one end of a red crimp connector, then cut it in half ? If so, seal it all with some CT1 or similar.I

Seems solder and heatshrink is the least worst option.
