. . . minding my own business, head in a locker, paintbrush in hand when there is a huge banging on the hull. I drops the paintbrush (on a surface that wasn't supposed to be painted), pull me head out of the locker removing an inch of scalp, just in time to hear a loud voice calling his breakfast order from the stern.
Of course, it's Kwacka wanting a return on his investment of a breakfast butty in July 2007. In addition, he has the owner & extended family of SeaWave with him. Sadly, I am not in a position to cater for large parties and don't think the under 10's should be exposed to the sight of Kwacka eating a bacon butty with ketchup - even with their parents present it could easily be a deeply scarring experience.
Any way, he kindly confirmed that the used VHF I just bought off Sailorman is in good order - it wouldn't work with my main vhf (possibly due to being directly under the aerial) before departing to continue rock finding elsewhere around the Strait on a falling tide.
Richard had threatened me that he would post derisory comments on here, but forgot that I have the technology to carry out a pre-emptive strike. Over to you, Kwacka!
