I've been meaning to post this for ages. A couple of years ago we had to visit Stockholm a few times. When Kath and I visited last time our client took us on a 'proper' tour of Stockholm, which included the Vasa museum. I must admit that until I went there I had never heard of the Vasa, but having seen her 'in the flesh' so to speak, she lingers in the memory. We would happily go back and spend more time there.

I advise anyone who enjoyed seeing the Vasa to go to Oslo and see the Viking Ship Museum. The Vasa was underwater for around 400 years. The longboats in Oslo were buried for nearly a thousand. Both are fantastically impressive.
