Hello there,

Well its here, the boat is in welsh water; (well almost) it’s actually in the boat yard at the moment waiting to have its pre-water checks.
The actual arrival was not without problems:-

First the delivery guy arrived 5 hours late which meant the marina was closed and all staff gone home for the night, so no gear or help at hand. The main problem we had was that the winch on the delivery guys trailer was not designed to take as much weight as my boat and trailer produced so getting it on (Hence the 5 hours delay) and getting it off (Me and a mate there till 0130 this morning) was a nightmare, not to mention getting a 8ft wide boat through a 8ft 2 inc wide gate.

A special thanks goes out to Chris Kennedy of Boat-mover, he told us that when he arrived to collect the boat he was aware that it was going to be difficult but he did not want to let me down so he struggled on to meet his promise. I am very happy with his service.

Anyway as I said she has arrived safely and is waiting to take her first dip into Welsh water.
I will keep you posted and put some pictures up of her grand launch date.

Cheers

Mike

8ft wide gate must be Cambrian's then ? Struggled to get my trailer out of there a while back after the gate closed on the front wing of swmbo's X3 /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Good luck with it, shame she's not ready for this weekend as the weather's looking good.

Hi Mike

Well done - looking forward to seeing pics of the boat finally in the water - and hopefully according to the Met Office you may get some nice hazy lazy boating days in before the end of September

Yeh, MK 3 helm to Starboard.
594 were built from 72 to 84. I think.
A John Bennet designed hull.MK1 and 2 were 22ft 1inch by 8ft 6.
MK 3 22ft 5 by 8ft 9.
The main difference between the 1 and 2 was a moulding in the cabin roof.
Engines. from single 120 giving appx 20 kts.
Up to 2 120's giving 28 ish kts.
Single diesel 12 kts up to 120 20kts.
Not an Expert.
Just looked at one some years ago and have kept some blurb.
Sad git I know!!
Mate had a 3 a while back. That's what got Me interested.
We went all over the place in it.
Round Anglesey, Isle of Man.
Pick Your weather and it's a cracking boat.
