The ropes are out

I'm always surprised to read a version of this thread following either SIBS or LIBS, from my experience I've always found the Fairline exhibition to be well managed. .
I started this thread as I was surprised that Fairline continue with this process in contrast to their competitors. It is a very valid point that while they sell the boat once they rely on the second hand market too for their saleability of their new boats. To my mind that means creating a desire and demand for all their boats. A bit of cold-sober may come over us as we head home after a show, but that inkling and fire to own THAT boat starts somewhere. It is not always an unemotional purchase ;)
What I can be sure of is that if I don't even see the boat, I am not going to want to own it.

To be fair, once the very attractive girl on the desk had all my details, and swmbo had dragged me away :) ,we were left to roam about as we wished, with no interference , I do not have a problem giving out this information, but in the past and on other stands you were asked if you would care to leave our details, cannot say I have ever had an issue re dress code, but then as we are out for a day we always try and dress smart, I look forward to seeing there new range and hope they do well, the last thing we need is to loose another boat building company

The V39 looks good - what sort of money are they with D6's?

Two 2015-models advertised on the net around £350,000 + VAT w. D6-330s, joystick and 4kW Onan

PS. D6-330s is the only standard engine option.

Princess and Sunseeker usually have pretty free access at shows, which is surely the whole point and a good way of expanding brand awareness. Even one good comment from one 'tyre kicker' to another is great free advertising and if you don't take advantage of that then you deserve to fail.

It's a nonsense to rope off your stand at a public show. It does create exclusivity, only resentment. And then to offer an inferior product and lousy customer service only adds injury to insult.

They should be welcoming everyone with open arms and then vetting the prospects through polite and knowledgeable conversation. As for dress code- I know a few high net worths who are as scruffy as hell. They have nothing to prove...
