I started this thread as I was surprised that Fairline continue with this process in contrast to their competitors. It is a very valid point that while they sell the boat once they rely on the second hand market too for their saleability of their new boats. To my mind that means creating a desire and demand for all their boats. A bit of cold-sober may come over us as we head home after a show, but that inkling and fire to own THAT boat starts somewhere. It is not always an unemotional purchaseI'm always surprised to read a version of this thread following either SIBS or LIBS, from my experience I've always found the Fairline exhibition to be well managed. .
What I can be sure of is that if I don't even see the boat, I am not going to want to own it.
