What he says is quiet true, and its got me thinking. Apart from the privaliged few, most of the people on this forum dont know each other from Adam. You could walk down the street, see a undesirable sort of chap, and who knows could have been me.

All this banter that goes on is at most times harmless, but from what people post it makes you wonder what they look like and what sort of person they are. Where do they fit in in the scheme of things, 9 times out of 10 I start building a subconsios, piccy of them. Take tcm, i know he wont mind, me mental picture is of a public school type, such as that Ben foggle or what ever his name was, probably something big in the city or some type of lawyer type with stripey shirt ans red braces, Dont know how accurate this is but i dont rekon i'm far off.

Only person on here that i know what they look like is Kim, the Phil Mitchell of the boating world. Then theres people like byron, paulineb, haydn and all the others, so come on then whats your mental picture of people, give us a clue

Ah but some of that's your own fault for not keeping up with the plot isn't it?

If you'd been paying attention, you'd have had a look at Boatone's piccies of the the forum bash at the Wig and Pen and afterwards at tcm's London pied a terre, which gave graphic piccies of almost all attendees as well as numerous shots of DaveS's bum. And I bet it looks much like yours does. I forget Boatone's web adress thingy but no doubt he'll remind you if you ask nicely then you can have a peek and dispel any illusions you might have.

Oh and I visualise you as a dead ringer for Steve McQueen (gotta be nice to him he might introduce me to a buyer for my boat).

And before anyone reminds me that SMQ's dead, so will Barry be if he calls my beloved boat "that old tub" one more time;-)

So why you got a piccy of that french early seventies cartoon, Marine boy I think it was called. and as for Steve Mcqueen. HA! you must be joking, and paulineb dont count. cos if all those photos are of here, shes kept Harley street in business single handed for at least 10 years. Any way all short fat men are raggy stick people, well most of the ones i see are, you only ever see head and shoulders over the spray dodgers.

Re: Those \'bum\' pictures

The piccies Colaholic refers to can be seen at

I have to admit that they somewhat destroyed my illusions of what people look like (particularly DaveS) and I think I'd have preferred to have been kept in the dark!
Never a good idea to let fantasy become reality IMHO ...its always a let down and you cant go back to the fantasy afterwards!

As for piccies, tcm's wish to be a vicar seems to have been followed by divine intervention and I see he's now sporting a dog collar....anyone got a spare chain they don't need?
As for Haydn...well, personally I though the soap packet was good...and very appropriate for the frothing at the mouth posts he seems to excel at. See he's now found out how to b*gg*r about with the piccies so tastelessness will now set in until Kimbo decides to exercise visual censorship as well as verbal.
Personally I think it woiuld bve a good idea if we had a little bullseye on posts and then if anyone doesnt like a post we could click on the bullseye and 5 clicks would mean its gone and the poster put in the corner for a week!
