What??? It must be impossible to make money from a pub - the place is full every time we go. £46k isn't so bad - you'd pay that much for renting a house in that situation.

Couldn't even microwave a meal properly.
Once been served rice which was distinctly 'crunchy' (as in part still frozen).

Their fish and chips is REALLY good though... its more whale than cod in scale!

I don't think anyone has commented about running a pub?

Even though my degree is partly in catering I chose not to work in that field after graduation so would never assume I would know how to run a pub or any catering establishment. I do however have years of experience as a Customer and know what I am prepared to pay for basics I can cook at home like lasagne!

Have to agree that it's a bit steep, but it seems they were another victim of Punch Taverns, so I have to say I feel sorry for them. Had intended commenting about my last experience there, but it seems others have had even worse. Hopefully Adnams will turn the place around, good beer and food always goes down better than what I had, but now I have some idea of why that was

Just noticed the date on the Adnams link, so you're probably right. No knowledge of Deben Inns so can't comment, got to be better than Punch though, surely ?

Don't they still run those pubs? The Ramsholt has been very hit and miss for the 20 years I have been going there. I have never got on with Adnams beer so I hope they have some other decent stuff.
