The last time I was on the dole was 1972, in my early 20s.
I can count on one hand the times this year I have visited my sister. She has her own pension.
I give bad advice, judgement based on your decades of hands on steel boat building ,living aboard , maintaining, and mostly full time cruising and ocean crossing experience, and the dozens of highly successful steel boats you have designed and built .So how about posting some pictures of them, and some evidence that you have any any such experience, and are not just another bored kid in your parent's basement?Give us some evidence that you have any such experience to share with anyone .
The oil industry is subsidized to the tune of $5 billion anualy ,world wide. Now there is a welfare bum you should direct your energy at. If the govt offers you some of the money they sponge, you say you would turn it down, to not make the oil industry suffer?
Ya sure, we all believe you!
Time to leave your mommys computer, Your mommy is calling you!

the only person you have ever served is yourself, many of us o here have served our countries one way or another. You google yourself, you will find a few people who know or knew you if you look... Maybe you should do that and tell them all you are a different person now. You are a serial liar and a fantasist. Everybody knows it. I do not normally respond to your kind of sad delusion, but you are giving out bad advice based on your low IQ/willingnes to engage with any kind of reality, and massive insecurity. Just go away, you are a one of the biggest and most tragic jokes on the whole world wide web.
My mother, (monmy is not the correct term unless you have an adult baby fetish, which could explain the poor navigation, and all the dummy spitting BTW) does not have a computer, just a machine to help her communicate, and exist. I tell you this, I would unplug her before I let her be exposed to you.
That would be mercy, dole boy fantasist.
RUST IN PEACE
Go away, do your sisters dishes

I live mostly around Heriot Bay and Cortes Island these days, a paradise my critics work all year to spend 3 weeks in. Some fly there from all over the world to spend 2 or 3 weeks there .Water in the ocean is too cold now to swim in now, but the lakes are still warm. Good hunting here too. Anchorages are 3 to 5 miles apar, perfect hurricane holes. In summer I sometimes head north, one 35 mile stretch of which has over 811 islands. I have done ten trips to Haida Gwai and back, Great fishing and fantastic deer hunting up there. 15 deer annual limit.
what you are really complaining about is me having to much fun ,which I plead guilty to .Yes I am.
If you don't want to have too much fun ,don't get your advice form someone who is having too much fun! Instead, get it from his jealous critics, who don't believe in having fun.

You have given absolutely zero helpful advice for steel boat builders or owners.

Yawn-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....................................................

The suggestion being that 2 bikes on a trailer on the autobahn put he same load on welds as a 36 footer pounding in 12 ft surf?
The suggestion being that a one time photo of a weld with slag on, is indisputable proof that the slag was never, ever chipped off and cleaned?
Boy, your posts and arguments are getting feebler by the day!

There is no suggestion of comparing my heavily used home built trailer with your boat design not getting damaged or suffering broken welds on a surf beach.

As you well know, the comparison I was making was that it takes little effort or skill with a stick-or arc welder as we call them this side of the pond-to produce a weld that is sound and looks good.

So why produce crappy looking welds that have the possibility of being unsound?

By the way, I'M not argueing- I leave that to you.

Trying to get sensible debate out of you is like trying to nail ice cream to a fencepost.

After some discussion among the Moderators, we have decided to close this thread. It has degenerated into petty insults and somewhat childish remarks, none of which are likely to alter entrenched views.
