Re: I am a bit annoyed

Sorry Brian, this thread seems to have drifted off on the wrong track. I can't comment on your passage plans, as don't feel I have anything constructive to offer. My off the cuff remark was purely about your comment on temperature in Oz at the moment, as the weather here in the UK is dire. No hard feelings I hope, and also hope that the thread gets back on course.

Re: no longer annoyed

Brenden ,
DEFINATELY no hard feelings.. ( I must admit I liked your remarks about the weather) We have had a shocking 48 hours .. it all started off with a big BANG .. somewhere near Melbourne, about 0300 a couple of days ago.
First thought a earth quake,( yes it did register on all sorts of instruments).. thentorrential rain ,wind etc. Waves in Bass Strait reached 20 m yes 2om,. the ferry from Melbourne to Tassie had to turn back with severe damage ( and many sea sick passengers) ,,
We had the most rain in a day ever recorded ( we started recording rainfall 156 years ago)

Now at 0955 on Friday as I type, the sun is out again , a promise of 20*C and with luck the rain is gone ( we did need it badly)
Last night I was down at the Club... 4 yachts up on the beach

Snowleopard is arriving today I think , after a long flight from London, so we want the place clean for him... hence the rain..

I will keep working on my " dream " itinerary... have some good info now , ( that the bs is over)

When Snowleopard and I meet we will drink one or two for you.....

Re: no longer annoyed

Jeepers! I missed that entirely, haven't read the papers for a couple of days. 20 m waves is extraordinary, and no comment at all here. Was earthquake confirmed? - just off to check news reports

Just read the news sites. Good grief, you've been hit hard!!!
