Interesting regarding pot markers off Cromer - thank you.

As a UK departure point I wouldn't rule out Shotley or Ipswich. However the extra distance South from Lowestoft means extra miles in the UK but no closer to the Netherlands.

in more than 30 yrs i have yet to be asked if i have one.
a copy is available from the open cpn site / links & is acceptable on a lappi

While Harwich would take you no closer to the Netherlands, it would get you considerably closer to the WesterScheldt for Vlissingen etc. From Lowestoft, the easiest Dutch port is Ijmuiden, which would permit a couple of nights in the fleshpots f Amsterdam before heading South through the canals to Goes.
