the nature of a forum

Armchair experts

Its the armchair experts I hate.

You know the type: quick to voice their opinions and only theirs matter, but they never actually speak from experience and often don't have anything helpful to say.

You know who you are..!:D

proposed amendment to Lakeregs

d) The 9d rule: It is possible to slam-dunk win an argument about Lakeregs: someone else has to mention the word “Lakeregs” (in that exact format, - if they say “the rules” or other stuff then you can’t leap in with this killer ) - and then after that WHOEVER first quotes rule 9d in the form proscribed in 9e) below WINS the argument, even if they are completely wrong. This should save loads of time and favours people who read rules.

proposed: that in reg 9d (above) "proscribed" be amended to "prescribed" in order that the rule (beg pardon - the "lakereg") shall make some kind of sense.

Good point, and that will cause Matt much angst.

I think they should be updated to accommodate changed user names.
Oh come on!

How daft would Vara Variation sound?

b) Lakesailor-Colmce Variation : Someone who gets lakesailored might well be a bit miffed, and say something. But the original poster might be having none of it and instead of trying to sort it out they might go bonkers and/or give a good e-kicking to the first responder and/or or to others discussing being lakesailored. This is a "Lakesailor with Colmce Variation". This is distinct, but often a feature of a full-scale LakeRiot.
