Sounds great. But then, if you don't mind me asking, why are you even wondering about the Med?
I mean, I've yet to come across one single person who lives anywhere in the Med and is wondering about Brittany.
Or South of England. Or anywhere else, for that matter.
You not us then :) we love to cruise see new places , which is why we left the med and now in northern Europe .
Not that we dislike the Med actually we love it , but time for a change .

Of course the best cruising grounds are nearest to where you live....better time spent on the water than at the airport....but..and it’s true...those of us who happen to live near the Med...are just the luckiest bu99ers???

Given a choice if I was back into cruising as opposed to pottering I would choose the Atlantic coast from Madeira I Azores to Iceland over the Med.

...... but what amused me was the assumption by many that the Med was just round the corner. One person, I forget who, said that it was just round France wasn’t it. When I pointed out that it included the Bay of Biscay, Spain, and Portugal they seemed quite surprised.
When tourists started to fly to the canaries in a big way in the early 80s. Many thought they were just part of the Balaerics,,,just a bit away from Spain and Majorca....

Two conversations with tourists in the bar in Albufeira.
Punter: The water goes up and down on the beach, it didn't in Marbella.
Barman: That's because it's the Atlantic.
Punter: But why is it different?

Barman: How did you get here?
Punter: Sorry, I don't know what you mean?
Barman: Did you drive, fly or maybe come by train?
Punter: Oh, we left that to our travel agent.
