Stinkpots fill in the full profile (usually with a witty comment where it says "ICQ No") including a list of hobbies and occupations.

Raggies fill in three sections chosen at random.

A bit like the course a raggie takes!

Raggies do understand that an engine comes equipped with a variable throttle control not just an on off switch like a Stinkie.

Raggies do understand that you can moor in other places than Marina's.

Re: The difference between Raggies and Stinkpots..

Distinct lack of gold (or gilded) neck chains on raggies.

Distinct lack of bruises and blisters on stinkies.

Stinkies wear their hair on their chest (and on show beneath the necklace)
Raggies wear their hair on their chins, and by preference chew it.

I've been trying to compose a post to indicate that not all raggies are hairy, some of us shave (especially the ladies) but knowing the way peoples' minds work I can't think of a way of it not sounding smutty.
How would you describe a clean-shaven lady without indicating that you were referring to any other part of her anatomy than her chin?

<How would you describe a clean-shaven lady without indicating that you were referring to any other part of her anatomy than her chin? > Think you might need to rephrase that too........ as the ladies I know, to the best of my knowlege don't shave their chins/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Or maybe it's only female raggies that do/forums/images/icons/shocked.gif

Only if a blow lamp is not available.

But presuming that Lady Stinkies are also clean shaven, how do they remove the hair from their chests?

and disconnect them first, too, if the one leaving East Cowes Marina last weekend was anything to go by. Hagrid and I got to it first, just before he pulled the shorepower box out of the pontoon as he left...

By pushing their man's head out of the way, perhaps? Is this preoccupation with hair a usual trait in mariners?

Re: The difference between Raggies and Stinkpots..

In Mercury Marina last summer, saw a raggie lady wearing stillettoes (how do you spell it?) Caused much ammusement but maybe she was just a guest.
