Our Honwave dinghy has two part oars. They lock together with a spring loaded metal button. One of them has escaped so we need a replacement. Not sure of the correct name for the button bit so Google is frustrating me a bit. Anyone put me out of my misery. They must have a proper name ?.

I think that they are usually called spring loaded 'detent' buttons .....or some such!

Sometimes when they "escape" they go further up the tube, worth taking a good look to see if it's still there and just needs repositioning ?

My Zodiac one became unreliable, (as did the rowlocks but that's another story). I drilled a hole right through the oars, and fitted machine screws, which can be removed if needed but rarely are, very reliable now, the original clips were c**p. I also have an Avon Redcrest with 2 piece wood oars and those clips still work like a dream, they be as old as me:)
