There is very little I disagree with in your last posting Ken. I certainly agree that the Twister is a lovely little boat.
However, I d think you are being unfair when you compare the best of old offshore cruisingdesigns with Sun Odysseys, Oceanises etc.I was also taking yachts like the Swan to be part of the modern design idiom.
If you are going to trake the best of the past you must stack them up against the best of the present - the Najads, Contests, Bowmans etc.
