We just berthed at Setur Çeşme marina and the lazy lines were filthy and the mud was as sticky as pottery clay.. We had to wash the bow immediately before it dried.

Almost everyplace in the Aegean, Ionian and Adriatic I've used lazy lines they've been filthy and quite often with razor sharp growth on them. We use cut resistant gloves for hauling lazy lines.

They’re not called slime lines for nothing. Agree on the sharp crustaceans.
