Thanks - for all the wishes of support.
I even saw the funny side of a few. We spent the weekend on Kelisha in the boatyard - decided not to lauch on Saturday afternoon as the forecast was cr@p.
However Sunday was lovely and it was too late to get in before low tide..... still we will be down all week during half term ....
I have seen an excellent 4hp Mercury - it looks hardly ever used- in fact I would nearly say never used apart from slight removal of the black paint on the very edges of the prop - inside it looks new. 1998 but the latest colours ..... Whats a realistic price ???

I bought a brand new mariner 4hp 4 stroke for £300 from a place that was closing down. Maybe that could be a starting point.

Wha'dya mean "I'm always playing with this engine" its the only way to get it to run!
