Anyone got a quick lick to Thanet wind farm location. All I've found is lots of reports and general areas, but no specifics. I know.... try harder, but I thought you lot might already have done my work for me:D

Haven't seen a 'proper' chart yet, but you get a rough idea from this: http://www.siemens.co.uk/en/news_pr...shore_wind_farm_to_the_british_power_grid.htm
Centred near a seabed area called the 'Drillstone' which you'll find on a chart.
The thing is shooting up. Many towers clearly visible from here in Herne Bay, maybe 15-16 miles away. Starting to feel surrounded, as the Kentish Flats farm is 5 miles N of here and we can also see the Gunfleet array.

Try this:

There's a news section on the right hand side of the page with a notice to mariners. This show the extent of the field and co-ordinates of any buoyage.

The guard boat is called the Gitte.

Hope this helps

Thanks v much. I knew you lot would come up trumps.

I thought the guard vessel was called the Brocklesby. Can sometimes hear him chasing people off when I'm off Harwich!

It used to be the Brocklesby but it changed earlier in the year. The Notice to Mariners is updated regularly.
