Thames yard for restoration

thinking of a wooden tsdy purchase to restore, any recomendations of yards to look at using for this ?

I would suggest that the majority are too expensive for this. They would be charging leisure boat storage rates. You would be burning money just with it standing there.

Thats not to say you would not find an out of the way place.

I would suggest a farmers barn.

I know a chap with a boat being rebuilt in Dennets and he's happy with their work.

Agree wholeheartedly with previous posts - Mike Dennetts & Colin Messer for wooden cruisers (& Peter Freebody & Henwood & Dean, or Colin Henwood, for skiffs/slippers/smaller stuff). It's very difficult now on the Thames to do your own work on a cruiser. I've been in the back yard at Harleyford, but would find a place on the East Coast another time.
