Has no idea about a terrible Thames flood in 1928 and wondered why had never heard about this flood until now.
Progaramme on Ch5. Ignore link title.
No access outside UK
Well aware of the floods in the 1950s.
Went on to compare with the floods in Germany not that long ago and the even more recently in Spain and its causes.

We started watching it but gave up before the end, all seemed a bit sensationalist with no real detail of what actually happened.

This is C5 we are watching.......:(
Gave up the will to live mid advert after the 100th ? , with only about 10 mins to run.
Could have been culled to 30 mins with ease.
Just suprised that not widely known about despite the devastation caused and the number of lives lost.

Don't recall seeing a 1928 plaque at any locks marking a high flood mark, certainly seen 1925 and 1947 as big ones but I could be mistaken, as the program showed it was heavy rainfall and snow melt upstream in combination with a North sea storm surge, but it didn't really show much of what was happening further up which was disappointing it just concentrated on the loss of life in London.
