Hi

A local firm has started doing terraclean. I was talking to them about doing it on my boat.

So would it be a good idea of a pair of KAD42’s?

They are a bit smokey on startup until warm and run fine. I was going to pull the injectors but it looks a bit of a mare for a number of reasons so was thinking a terraclean might help.

What does the forum think?

I am ever so slightly suspicious of any system which mutters about using a fuel with a "passive negative electrical charge" to remove carbon by changing carbon [a solid] in the engine into carbon dioxide [ a gas, at normal T and P).

The website is poorly scripted and edited (e.g. “regeneration, this happens under certain diving conditions") and the explanations require a large amount of faith and passive belief, rather than scientific rigour.

The site talks about it being illegal to remove a DPF (diesel particulate filter)" but then says

" The whole TerraClean service centre network has access to this [DPF cleaning] facility. This service involves removal of the DPF device from your vehicle for a few days whilst the unit is cleaned via a national service facility.

I have no direct experience of this franchise organisation, and am unlikely to seek to remedy that.

I think at best it will give you peace of mind and do no further harm. I have some literature I could sell on to you for a small sum on how you could also get your engines to become 30% more fuel efficient using nothing more than water to generate environmentally green hydrogen. Just a 100 bucks mate. All parts available from Halfords. :p
