Hi Tony...I have just bought a centre cockpit Teal 22...love any info , pics, history you could pass on...I think the design is superb!!

Hi, my first post ,I felt I had to do it! Just a general view and memory of my father's Teal convertible . He bought this back in the early seventies from a small boatyard in Walton-on Thames. The convertible was probably the more practical of the two designs, as having the removable roof panel which stowed conveniently on the foredeck . There was a suprising amount of space inside allowing 4 adults to berth ,a couple more could have squeezed in no doubt ,there was a room for a porta toilet and also space for cooking . It was quite easy to tow and not being too large we stored it at home over winter .We ran a 25hp electric start outboard ,this was plenty to take us all the way to Oxford once . I'm looking for a boat myself now and the Teal would fit just right . The Teal seemed to fit a lot inside quite a small space ,looking at similar size boats now all seem to be only 2 berth . Hope this helps anybody seeking a bit of info , cheers .

Hi did you have any joy with info on your teal? I’m restoring one at the moment and have been scouring the net for any info at all. Mainly regarding what they were rated at for outboard. I have replaced transom not an easy job as someone had been at it previously and made a right mess. What I did notice on mine the transom is only the length of the engine well.
