Hi All

After some advice. Has anyone experienced the problem of melting caulking on teak decks. I have a small power cruiser with teak in the cockpit and the black caulking just wont go hard. Consequently, walking on it spreads the black goo all over the placeand makes a right mess. Not good when you are trying to keep it looking nice for potential buyers.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to cure the problem. I know I could dig out the offending goo and put fresh caulking in, but that seems an enormous effort if there is another way.

Much Thanks
Nick

Some cleaning agents will atack the caulking and make it become oily.
If this is the case the only remedy is to re do the caulking form scratch
