A friend has a new-ish to them FL Targa 29 with KAD32s, which recently went back in the water for the season. She's relatively empty of their own kit, but with half fuel and full water (calorifier also filled) does have a pronounced list to starboard.

If I stand and lean out over the port side I can correct the list (16ish stone :o ) but they are wondering if this is standard for the model (I'm aware of it on the Sealine S28). I've recommended the usual of adding more beer & wine to correct, and more seriously are looking at some lead shot to add to the port side. Off hand I don't know their battery layout/config. The galley has all the equipment on the starboard, so that won't help.

Anyone with experience of the T29 to say if this is normal and and recommended fixes? It's making the nice newly painted waterline look unbalanced!

Cheers, james

(worth noting the list was present last season (their first with the boat) but was hoped it'd correct itself once fully emptied of gear etc)

My Swift Trawler 34 has a noticeable list to port. This is where the water tank sits, and you need to go below 1/4 tank before she rights herself. I’m hoping that the addition of a generator just to the starboard side of the centerline will help offset her.

Changes from OEM can do that as well. On mine a change of battery banks and blackwater tanks etc gave a slight list.

I solved this with wakeboard ballast bags which provide neutral ballast in a worst case scenario and are adjustable. I can pump mine in or out via a toggle switch and adjust ballast efficiently and effortlessly as and when required. Start here: http://www.slsports.com/ballast-sumo-sacs.html
