TAMD75 water strainers

Hi All

Upon ckeaning out my rather solid water strainer baskets and removing what can only be described as a small self contained ecosystem! I noticed that the large O ringd under the round clear acrylic top cover are old and poorly fitting.

Also one of the acrylic clear covers is cracked in two places.

Dies anyone know where spare parts can be obtained from? as wat the o rings and a new top plate.
These are not listed on Keypart and a web search has not even turned up an image of them, let alone any parts refs.

Any help would be bery helpful.

Your strainers are not Volvo Penta Parts, they have metal strainers and they corrode.

They are also a pain in the butt to open clean and close.

I have changed mine to Vetus ones https://www.vetus.com/engines-and-a...ner-type-1320-with-g-2-63-mm-connections.html

They are easy to inspect and the lid is spin on / spin off.

if you measure the O rings (O ring cross section and the diameter of the groove in the water strainer - don't worry if you are a tad off they stretch/compress easily) you can buy them on ebay etc. The plastic covers are just polycarbonate discs - again measure and have a look on ebay someone will make you a few for not a lot.

Are they Guidi from asap? As they sell Maestrini, best to check what you have first as they may not be interchangeable

Thanks all but as there seems to be doubt about the right onse I have now sourced a suitable sized o ring for a couple of punds heach that match the size and also have ordered 4 lexan lids to be made the exact size of the originals. At only £25 for the 4 sets I am very happy and know they will fit and work. So 2 to use now and two spares onhand.
