Hello folks.

Anyone rebuilt one of these? Mine is leaking coolant from the weep hole on the underside of the pump at quite a rate.

I see the kit on ASAP supplies. Won't get in the post until Monday so it looks like the Easter trip is out the window. Do I need anything fancy tool wise?

Thanks in advance.

Here is a link to the relevant part of the workshop manual (ignore the second page)-:

No special tools necessary, but a reasonably sized vice is nice to have. Measure carefully where the bearings are before removal so you get them correctly located on assembly.
Done this 4 times, it's about a 20 min to 1/2 hour job, for the second time and onwards :)

Edit: The vice is just practical for laying the bearing on and tapping the axle through.

Sounds like you are referring to the seawater pump, not the coolant circulation pump?

You are absolutely right! I thought of the seawater pump.

Read "weep hole on the underside of the pump at quite a rate", which was my problem too, and jumped at the chance of finally contributing something :-)
