TAMD41-p belt

Hi Guys, do we need to change the belts every year on these engines or is it based on number of hrs/year interval?

I go by wear, when they keep needing adjusting they have stretched or lots of black dust = new belt time..

Same double belt setup on my AD31's as the AD41, mine have been on for 8 years, maybe thats a bit too long but I'm on the river most of the time, changing every year seems a bit extreme though.
