Cruise Reports Taking our yacht to Sweden for the summer - any 50m marinas?

Elon Musk building a yacht that is going to double up as a Mars base once he's built a hyperloop out that way.[/QUOTE]
How the hell did you find out about that ? Our cat made me promise not to tell anyone about it ........

You have good points, and your patience does you credit.

Personally I think "a character" like this appearing in this forum now and then might keep things interesting and something for regulars to bond over, but ultimately they need to be weeded out. You wouldn't want to leave them around and start feeding off each other with ever greater tales. Pretty soon we'd have Elvis who's just come back from Atlantis after spending time with Captain Nemo, and Elon Musk building a yacht that is going to double up as a Mars base once he's built a hyperloop out that way.

Fair point. My wife says I have to stop arguing with everyone or they will kick me off the forum, and then what would I do in the evenings (and nights and mornings and days......)

Look I have no skin in this game, it won't affect me if he is or he isn't. But I think there was a bit of a mob mentality going on and I'm like Henry Fonda in 12 Angry Men, just standing up for the guy. Come on, in 'the lounge' they are debating whether Stonehenge was built last century and comparing Russian brides to Soviet cars, is he more outlandish than that?

I always err on the side of believing what someone says, or writes, even if I small a rat. I will give them the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.

I still have the faint hope that this chap is real and I'm wrong.

It's not about mob mentality. Look at the 'facts' being claimed, do you believe they're true? (Possible, even?)

It's not 'mob mentality' just because so many people are pointing out the same thing. :)

I just see this as disrespect to all of the knowledgeable people in this forum.

But I agree that it was fun :)

Holy custard. A life of our own, overnight.

Lols. Captain of MF is my older half brother, of the same first and last name (ask the parents, it wasn't us). I'd have mentioned that before but it was too much private info.

I'm indeed behind KlickEx and a couple of otjer things that arent so public. Not the way i wanted that to come out (over a beer would have been better). No matter. BBA now run an award set that was previously known by another name. Which is what I won. It was called the Financial World Innovation Awards, back then. And the exact award was the community banking Initiative of the year if i recall. IFS college, which was the Royal Chartered Bankers (or somensuch) was the sponsor at the time. It's now BBA. I believe they only gave that award once. Wanting to be a bit private, but evidently not private enough, I've not been giving complete information... just enough to paint a picture, so i could find a park in Sweden.

Far more than youd requie if we'd met in a pub, but not enough for the internet! We also won SWIFT awards too. Not much.. but its real: https://www.swift.com/insights/pres...-waratek-win-innotribe-startup-challenge-2013

And: Security features and UI isnt the same...

Also: Looks like we've solved the problem in Sweden now; so thank you all for that guidance on topic.

Funny that the ringit should have been brought up. Done some work there. Google that.

I guess the revealed mystery behind this removes the mystique of this thread ... but i hope we don't fade as a pack.

Time is not something ive had spare for a very long time, but I have been put under orders to take it easy and spend time out of the office. So i bought a boat and joined a forum.

And thanks to Bouba for his discretion. Sorry to put that on you in these circles. Voracious lot these people.

See you all in time... dont forget to bring the beer and saussages. Time and place undefined.... but you do all have a venue and a party that awaits you.

:-)

Oh so many questions unanswered.

BBA told me they have never given awards. And I thought you were busy meeting PMs and banking heads, not taking time off.

Oh well it's been fun for a few days.

Hope you don't sink the new boat with 2 deck loads of cheap diesel and enough petrol to run a 7 m tender for 12 hours flat out:):):)

The more i give, the more you (want to) take!

Some old phrase involving an inch vs a mile comes to mind...

Capital R, the forum doesn't appear to have the patience to wait for the boat launch or even the custard test. But since they now know what you look like, why don't you post a picture of yourself with the custard. It might prove that it's you and not an imposter, your face is already on line. Look, I wouldn't do it, but it would help.
All the best
