T37 Wiper linkage

Mate has a Targa 37 and the windscreen wiper linkage has failed (the bar that links the motor on the Stbd side to the Port wiper)

Apparently there is a hatch in the heads that allows access to the wiper motor, but how do I get access to the linkage bars?

I had the same problem on my old Targa 37.
The hatch in the heads will indeed give you (restricted) access to the the motor.
Access to the linkage is via the access panel in the main saloon. From memory it is an oblong piece of plastic (quite brittle) mounted in the roof just outside the heads.
It is held in with sealant that has to be cut away.

You will find the old linkage has corroded due to water ingress from where the wiper shaft comes through the fiberglass to pick up the wiper blade.

I ended up making my own linkage and spent some time improving the sealing around the wipers.
