We were on a SYH swinging mooring for 8 seasons.
Though my information may be a little out of date as the boat moved to France in 2016.
Ok I guess things may have change there now ,
How did you get to and from your mooring?
Was there a water taxi and if not what did you do if your tender?

When we were there, there was no water taxi.
I don't think things have changed.

There were several designated storage areas where you could leave your tender.

If you use an inflatable tender with low freeboard in the SYH channel, beware of the wash from inconsiderate boaters. Ditto in respect of your main boat on its swinging mooring; ensure everything is secure and won't end up smashed on the floor.

We kept a day sailer on a swing mooring at SYH a couple of years back and can confirm no water taxi. We kept an inflatable in the water behind a linear pontoon and no-one seemed to mind (one or two others did the same) but it did mean cleaning the bottom regularly. Wash has already been mentioned but the only downside was the fetch from Felixstowe meant that in a breeze from that direction I occasionally got very wet getting out to the mooring buoy. A larger dinghy/RIB would have improved the situation in that regard.
