There was an earlier post on this however rather than telling you to RTFM* the answer is "She Who Must Be Obeyed" aka "the better half", "the trouble and strife", "her indoors" etc.
Originaly this was the title of a character in the 19th century adventure story (or romance as they were called before the genre was hi-jacked by Bills and Moon) She by H. Rider Haggard.
The phrase was popularised in the books and TV series about Horace Rumpole a barrister who refered to his wife Hilda as "she who must be obeyed".
Of late I see that there are varients being used - perhaps other posters could elicidate?
I also have to consult the
SPO = Sailing Permmission Officer
FPO = Fishing Permmission Officer
both are the same person = SWMBO
At this moment in time I reckon that the ratio is about 5:1
i.e 5 days of "ducking & diving", being nice, cooking, ironing to get 1 days sailing/fishing.
Whats yours? <s>
regards
Peter
Now thats more like it, nice one Fun Prevention Officer?
Unfortunately I happen to own not only a non swiming,non fishing FPO but 3 kids that think I'm a 24 hour bank that gives out interest free loans that dont need repayment, huge mortgage (not marine), 24 hour taxi driver service, 3 gold fish and a dog that bites me when I try to feed it!!
Never mind I've put in 6 days good behaviour so I'm off to the SBS tomorrow (with FPO's permission) for a bit of RNR.
<<<< now can anyone give me the DGPS co-ordinates of the Guiness tent>>>>>
Peter
My FPO likes swimming but only in somewhere hot
she likes sailing, the lying on the deck bits of bit sailing. She has even complained about the tack because she is 'now not in the sun'
she does not relich the thought of irish and scottish harbours as holiday destinations. i have shown her photos of the outer hebrides in the sun ( i only have 3) but she still remians unconvinced.
