I have recently bought a Swift 18 and have spent considerable time (and effort) refurbishing it (her?).
I have only had chance for one outing so far, but enjoyed it immensely. As a reasonably experienced dinghy sailer, I found the step up to something larger was not as traumatic as I had imagined.
The only real problem I found was the lack of useable storage space in the cabin for cooking utensiles, crockery and cutlery, clothes etc. Has anyone any useful tips to solve these problems. So far we have been storing clothing in black plastic waste sacks.
This is the first time I have asked a question on this forum, so be gentle with me.

I've used these ziplock bags, the refuse sacks always seem to smell. Have you thought about net hung from the deck head for clothes/soft stuff. I always stow suace pans, inside one another (camping type) and put them in the oven if you have one. A cool box, also makes good stowage for grub etc. and can be laid on a bunk whilstb underway. Hope this helps.

The Swift association (now defunk i believe) used to have lots of idea`s in the tecnical part of there magazine if you can find anyone who has hoarded these mags there is bound to be some help, I do remember one Swifty who made space under the sink or the cooker by removing some of the bouyancy and putting on a door. we trailed & sailed our Swift as far and wide from most places in the south coast and up to the west coast of Scotland and even Yugoslavia a couple of times!
with two adults and two teenage girls it just takes carfull planning, having a cockpit tent helped a lot
cheers Lawrence
PS just come back from a friendly rally of ex Swifties all now sailing bigger boats
but the conversation still harks back to our Swift days
