This might seem an odd question, kind if grasping at straws. Our SMG4 gauges started to show random information and we couldn't sort them out so called the Suzuki engineer and he reprogrammed them. There is still an issue with the fuel display which he says is due to the cables not being plugged into the right area on the backbone 🤪.

Anyway, at the same time as the gauges started playing up the engines wouldn't stay tilted up when we left them. On 3 separate visits we arrived to find the engines had dropped back down into the water We assumed we have a separate problem with the hydraulics and have contacted the dealer to come out next week. Yesterday we took some cushions down and found the engines still up where we left them. The only thing that's changed is the gauges being reprogrammed. We're going back down today to do some cleaning so will be interested to see where they are.

Coincidence or could the 2 issues be connected?

Could be unrelated…you’d think.
The engines falling down, you’d suspect a remote trim switch, if there is one that controls both ? Not unless both engines coincidentally, have hydraulic issues…unlikely perhaps.
Or, there is an issue with the harness wiring perhaps.
Trim switch would be my odds on, bookies favourite!
Good luck

We were not convinced about the hydraulics being the cause because both engines have behaved the same at the same time.
Yeah. Agree. As above. That’s why I was suggesting the trim toggle switch, if you have one that acts as a combined for both. Could be shorting out and activating
