Surviving Apocalypse on a Boat?

A study a few years ago suggested 'two hours' if all the water was severely rationed or even completely shut off... all of it. Which means the only thing between you throttling your neighbour or not... is the water coming out of your taps, a most terrifying thought.

Not just the water. We're in a worse position to survive now than in the 50s, everything ,- gas, electricity, water, transport, communications, etc. - all computer controlled which will be wiped out by EMP.

Civilisation as we know it will collapse in the event of nuclear war. Road and rail networks will be blocked, and if not they will be under the control of the military. There will be no electricity or water. Phone? Forget it, you will be on your own, unable to contact anyone. You may be able to receive text messages, until your battery goes flat, from 'The Authorities' telling you what to do under Marshal Law.
If you survive the blast, the firestorm and the fallout you will become a scavenger living off whatever you can find. I suggest you print off some of @viago's recipes while you still can.

Ive got a spring which comes out of the mountain behind my house, so hopefully we’ll filtered. Ruabon mountain between us and liverpool. The prevailing wind is from the sw so no big targets that way to pollute us. Honda genny while still got petrol, inverter of the diesel car battery to play with. Solar panel and lithium batteries in to the equation plus a 7kw wood burner. Plenty of wood on my land plus a stock of prepared wood. Pump up air gun for squirrels etc, Plenty of sheep around as well.
Gas supply, how long will the supply last if a vacuum pump put on the inlet?
Septic tank that has never needed emptying, old fashioned that works properly. So the issue is carbs. Ideas?
