Sunseeker Predator 64

I'm confused by Rafiki's idea too. They'd insist you paid euros, or they buy a swap with the cost passed onto you

Actually having got around to reading the AZ45 report in MBY today, the starting price for the AZ45 is less than £600k which is still way too much but its not £750k. Also you have to be a bit careful comparing boats of the same apparent lengths because often one manufacturer's 45 footer is a lot bigger than another manufacturer's 45 footer. The AZ45 looks like it's very similar in size and layout to the old AZ46 which I used to own and that was big for a 46 footer

Believe. They are comparably loads cheaper than their European competition given the exchange rates etc, as are most of the Brit brands.

Dont get me wrong, I do believe, the queue of boats waiting to go out down in Poole is impressive.

How is the Y80 going?

Long story cut short: I've looked at a couple of Sunseeker Predator 72s, but SWMBO would now prefer something a bit smaller so I'm also now looking at a Predator 64.

Outcome of this is: I purchased a Predator 64 on Tuesday. So I'm officially a member of the Sunseeker brigade now.

I'll put my Absolute 45 up for sale now (in Mallorca). It's in fantastic condition if anyone knows anyone interested.

Outstanding. Well done. I sold my squeeker a couple of years back so don't need the medallion any more. Let me know where to send it. :D

I don't think there's any room left on Mole Sud for another forumite!
Are you still in Antibes? (I was in Port Vauban today)

I'm back in Brighton at the moment; might be back in PV next week, just for a day.

Anyway - I'm not the Mole Sud persuader! (you know who you are... :D)

Cheers
Jimmy

Many Congrats, 64 Pred is a top boat. I hope you have many wonderful days aboard. Love to see some pics when you have them. Where will you be keeping her?

Great to hear the deal went throggh Balearic; many congratulations on such a good deal. I think we had the Antibes conversation with Jimmy bricklayer and AK on Match a while ago so I'll leave you in peace on that.

Ah no, hang on, maybe I wont. Howsabout this for an idea: don't sell the lovely Abs. Put the pred in Mallorca and the Abs in Antibes so you can use it when you're at your SofF place. Genius plan. :)

Love the aft cockpit on the 64, what a great space to spend summer evenings.

That's what I loved about it, the reverse shelf on the garage door (as they've done with the 60 and 74 now) makes the sunbed huge. With a new boat I was trying to duplicate the same feel of the aft sunbed of the Absolute 45, where you can lie there at anchor watching the world go by, sipping a cold one and shaded just right by the bimini - but still have plenty of room in the cockpit.

Apparently there's a Predator 68 on the design board in Poole, should be interesting.

Has Jimmy been demoted from builder to bricklayer? Times must be tougher that I thought! ;)

Actually I'll be so sad to see the Abs go, it's such a beautiful boat. Wish I could afford to keep two... I'll have to give up the girlfriend...
